The Chinese cycloid reducer began in Tianjin in 1964

Time has precipitated a historical imprint, and through repeated trials and tribulations, the glory of Jia Zi has emerged!

Tianjin Reducer Factory was founded in 1956 and was jointly established by 7 factories as Tianjin Third Machinery Repair Factory in January 1957. In 1958, with the National Great Leap Forward and great development, our factory was transformed from a repair factory to a manufacturing factory and began producing PM reducers. With the needs of domestic industrial development, the PM reducer can no longer meet market demand. In November 1963, our factory, together with the Municipal Science and Technology Commission, the First Machinery Bureau, and the Process Research Institute, visited the Segura reducer at the Japan Industrial Exhibition Hall. We unanimously believed that this product has advanced structure, high accuracy, small volume, multiple advantages, and internationally advanced technology. After research, we decided to start trial production.

Under the leadership of the higher-level party and government, a joint trial production organization consisting of factories, institutes, and design companies was established to jointly responsible for product design, research, and trial production. In just three months, the first planetary cycloidal pinwheel reducer with a speed ratio of 5 # to 17 in China was trial produced in March 1964. After preliminary measurement and experimental analysis by relevant departments in the city, the accuracy of this product is close to the level of Japanese prototypes. At this point, China broke through the monopoly of international technology and became the country that can produce this product after the United States, West Germany, and Japan.

The successful trial production of our factory's planetary cycloid reducer has received national attention, marking the glory of Tianjin's famous reducer both domestically and internationally, and making great contributions to the national industrial development.
